About the Missile

The guided missile is a laser guided missile that is launched by the pilot, can lock and track land vehicles, and laser designated targets.
The jet when equipped with these replaces the AA missiles and unguided rockets; the jet comes with one missile and has a 5 second reload, the missile will make two tries to hit laser-designated targets before exploding. on land vehicles the missile will track on a direct path from the launch point, if an object is in the way the missile will not dodge the object unless the target is designated.
The missile has about a 75% hit rate for tanks and About a 90% hit rate on jeeps, it is a one shot disable or destroy on jeeps if it has direct contact, on tanks it has about 40-30% damage on direct contact. The missile also has a large impact radius thus causing on impact for about 15m in all directions instant death for all soldiers in that area, this can include people who are repairing the target. The missile is a one hit kill on all air vehicles that have been designated. If the air vehicle has stealth, the hit rate goes from 90% down to 50 % even though it has been designated.

Jet “Perks”

There are 12 combinations to use with the guided missile and 36 in total for the jet. The main “perk” for that jet that affects the guided missile is “Beam Scanning” this “perk” creates a 1-5 second quicker lock-on and boots the direct hit rate for targets about 10%. My self personally never take this “perk” off my set up for the jet because it works the same on the AA missile as the Guided. Back on topic, this “perk” also makes the flight path for the missile a bit higher off the ground; this allows it to avoid land objects such as trees and buildings easier. Lastly, it makes the missile fly more as if the target was designated, top attack mode, I would call it middle mode.
Another “perk” that I would recommend is “Stealth” this makes it a lot harder for tanks to lock on and the same with jets/helis,

Attacking Tactics

Here is the main event the tactics, anyone can fly a jet in the game or kill someone but the one who stands out is the one with the tactics, he can usually out maneuver, outplay, and out stragitize the game, he is the PRO.
I am going to share my tactics and what I have learned on the jet, and countless battles using it to not just help me but my team win, so I have created this guide to help you with effectively using the guided missile. I have separated this into two sections. Jets, Targeting, and fireing. Each section will tell you the steps for its stragies.

Jets

Jets, there are three main types of jets, the STOFAL (F-35), the Air combat (Flanker/F-16), and the ground combat (Warthog/Frogfoot). Each jet type has its own characteristics and style of using the guided missile efficiently.

First up the F-35, this jet class well jet is verry slow on turns but has the advantage of being able to hover in mid air like a chopper. this is both verry effective for the guided missile and very good for enemy soldiers on the ground with anti air missile launchers , enemy jets, choppers, tanks, jeeps, blab la bla - it’s a bad idea. You’re a sitting duck in the sky as long as the other team are not morons. Keep moving, if I spot a target I like to slow down shoot my missile, then I go into STOFAL mode and shoot my cannons, (the f-35’s cannons are just as powerfull as the Scout helis guns). I Continue to shoot the target until the missile hits, then I boost off. You should not hover for more than 10 seconds, for example, 2 seconds for ppl to see you,2 seconds to bring out their launcher, 2-4 seconds to lock on… all ways keep on moveing.

Second one is the Air Combat jets (flanker) these are fast, agile but have weak guns, therefor you must fully rely on your guided missiles, the best way is to fly in an x pattern over your target like this:

the red dot is the target and theblack is the flight pattern, this way the target would be hit about every 20 seconds, speeding up on the straight parts and slowing down to almost the point when the landing gear comes out on the turns. This makes it almost impossible to lock on to you as you are traveling over head fast and turning slow, you will also be hitting the target two ways so if he doges behind one obstacle on one pass, he will be in the open on the other. Lastly the missile fires down on these jets so you must fly higher above the target for it to be effective.

Lastly the ground attackers. These jets are slow and are extremely agile, and they have guns that can take out a tank on their own. But they only attack best when diving, the view finder for this jet aims more forwards than the others and the missiles fire completely straight. To attack in these you can follow the attack plan above but you must slow down on the straights. Because the gun is almost as damaging as the missile. On the turns speed through them and fly upwards, this will set you up for a slow dive. Durring this dive you should first fire the missile then fire your guns until they over heat. Then repeat.

Part 2 Soon

Good tactics but i mostly use guided missiles to weaken tanks for friendly armor and also to spot enemies on it. If i get lucky and someone designates a target, then i fire away. Its too underpowered tho. I mean seriously, how can it disable unarmor jeep..
