As was announced a week ago, the long awaited VoIP fix for Battlefield 3 players on the Playstation 3 has finally landed. The fix is automatically applied for PS3 players. This fix will not be released for either the PC or Xbox 360 problems, as the PS3 was the only one with VoIP issues.

The VoIP issues were prominent since release and the reaction from this minor patch has been positive, most reports indicate it has worked. There is some confusion from within the Battlefield 3 community concerning the patch though. Many gamers were under the impression that this patch would fix a number of Battlefield 3 gameplay issues. That is not the case, this patch was strictly for PS3's VoIP issues. There is a major patch expected later this month for Battlefield 3.

i'm finding that i'm still having problems with some clan members but maybe they have a poor mic or connected wrong(for the ps3 bluetooth headset) i don't know i should check with people that i wasn't able to hear myself with in the past...still waitin on the DLC

personally i run a ts server and i dont care for listening to a team of fools and their rubbish...

ya i find that it works better now but some people cant hear me but i can hear them, and i have the same prob with all of my mikes

I Installed the patch yesterday and since then I have not been able to complete most of my games. It keeps kicking me out of the server again and again. I had started 20 to 30 matches since yesterday and I'd say that in at last 80% of them I have been disconnected from the server before the match is over.

Anyone reporting this same issue after the patch installation? I have not seen this problem reported anywhere else yet.

Can't wait to try VOIP out now. Might get some people to PTFO now ??? Will probably have to wait till the weekend till I can have some peace and quiet on the mic...
