It's been just over one year since the original Battlefield 3 trailer release. One year since DICE took the gaming world by storm. On February 3rd 2011 we were given a few hints at what would be coming in the near future. We knew it was Battlefield 3 news, but other than that we didn't know.

You guys ready for tomorrow? You sure? Really really sure? #BF3

On the 4th we got the first trailer and details concerning Battlefield 3.

Back to Karkand seems like more of a recent announcement, but did you know that information surrounding the expansion pack originated a year ago? We predicted the four maps to be: Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman, and Road to Jalalabad - plus weapons and vehicles. Not a bad prediction.

A large number of people knew about Battlefield 3 when it was first officially confirmed, even more when this first trailer came out. So when did you learn about Battlefield 3 and what was your initial reaction?

Did you know Battlefield 3 was actually confirmed to be in development in Summer 2009?

Yeah, the trailer reminds me a lot of Project Reality.

I think I first heard about it back in February or March of last year. I still was playing BF2 at the time and I was super psyched to hear the good news. I remember preording after my birthday in March because I got a 25% discount. Too bad the game didn't turn out quite as well as expected, but I still find it very fun to play. I just hope there's a lot more DLC in the near future and that it adds a lot more to the game, even more than just maps. I want things like Spec ops and all that fun stuff :D

I just was disappointed that EA didn't make a squad stories trailer for BF3. Maybe we could make one?

I remember when I joined in September 08, I was already stuck thinking about BF3 and what it would look like, luckily enterbf3 kept me well informed about what was happening, and so I did know by 2009. Thanks Neged and admin crew!

I remember I was hella excited when I saw that trailer. So far it has met my expectations (not everyone can say that I see lol). It's only been getting better, the B2K was extra icing on an already delicious cake. Also, keep in mind I didn't expect it to be the true successor to BF2. To be quite honest I've grown tired of BF2.
Oh, you must've been hoping for a Battlefield 2.5 à la Modern Warfare?

Man, I forgot about this trailer. I seriously thought I'd be getting a really KICK ASS game. Oh well, its still a decent game, just not great.
Origin, the worst thing to happen to Battlefield since Rush.

I remember when I first time went to battlefield3 pages. First I saw a black page. Did I load the wrong site? Then I saw a face of the Blackburn. I though: "Can this be true? Is this IT?"

Then I saw in adress bar: http://www.battlefie...om/battlefield3

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

Year later all I can say that this game is pure win. Maybe not "true" sequel of bf2. But should it be? BF2 had some things that annoyed me. BF3 isn't perfect tool. But it's win.
