Seriously.

Like, look at them.

I played it for a year straight, and I still firmly believe it has the best graphics out of all the Battlefield games ever released on consoles.

How.... how have they [DICE] been downgrading in graphics more and more?

*disclaimer. I don't care about graphics. I don't care about Battlefield 3's graphics. I'm simply saying what I notice. Does anyone else think so?

Sidenote, I believe that Bad Company 1 also still is closer to the Battlefield 2 experience than BFBC2 or BF3 (on consoles).

It's this kind of thinking that showed me the one single factor that changed Battlefield for the worse, was the sudden shift to locking-on weapons.

Well that doesnt really matter. I have never played BFBC1 so i cannot comment on this topic, but if a game's highest selling point is graphics (game changing graphics at that), you cannot deliver a game with less graphics than a game released many years ago.

(like so many other broken promises from BF3)

He who sees BC1s graphics as better than BF3s is a man who thinks BF has crappy graphics in comparison to CoD.

1. I said BF3 on consoles. BF3 on PC looks amazing andbetter than BC1.
2. That analogy is completely unrelated.
3. Have you played BC1?
4. i have and wear glasses.

I really only need input on the 3rd point. Everything you say is invalid if you didn't play BC1.

I disagreed. I think bf3 has best graphics on the ps3 but bc1 and bc2 still have pretty good graphics for first frostbite engine. Totally beats cod.

I had BC1 and still have BC2 and I went back to BC1 at one point just to check out the MP as I had only played SP before. And let me tell you, I found it quite hard to see what I was doing as the graphics was far worse to BC2. I don't know how you think BC1 was better looking than BC2 o.0
And yes, I play on 360.
I'm not still not sure about comparing BF3 graphics with BC1&2, I think it was a different sort of art style too it, although I guess in terms of pixel count and shaders and all that sort of thing, than yes, BF3 has slightly worse graphics to BC1&2 (on console).

I would imagine because BF3 is hording more resources, and the developers needed to balance the performance of the game, with the graphics.

You're playing on an oudated system; I don't care if they keep making games for it 30 years from now. It's outdated and it's starting to show it's age. I just played PS3 a little while ago with some friends, and I was blown away at how horrible it looked, and I have it displaying at max. Same with the 360.

When BC1 was released it was released at the peak of the consoles performance. It doesn't have as much going on either.

Until the next gen comes out, you won't see much change in graphics. The ceiling was hit a couple years ago.
Origin, the worst thing to happen to Battlefield since Rush.

1)I have owned BC1, and every single BF game *edit* check out my Battelog page Neutron3(but it only shows my Xbox BF games, I need to get that fixed by combining my old EA account and new one)
2) it was to make a point
3) yes, in fact I got all the way up to Colonel and made it to the second highest skill level
4) okay.

It was the only BF game made 100% for this generation of HD consoles. BC2 and BF3 had some effort diverted to PC.

He's got a point, if you are discussing graphics, console versions aren't really worth mentioning.

this is a topic specifically about the consoles, how do you expect him not to mention them in a topic specifically about them?

I know, I was calling into question the point of the whole thread, not just that one post. Saying a game in a franchise has the best looking console version is like saying someone is the tallest midget, or saying a vehicle is the fastest minivan.

You could just leave the thread. Ever thought of doing that?

Or, this is much more unlikely, but leave the forums? No one here seems to like you.

Back to the topic please.
