Today, DeepFloyd revealed to the community the fact a player who I am not going to name was caught by several anti-cheating organisations and consequently banned from several servers. Until this point, everything's normal, except the fact that player WAS a moderator.
A couple of minutes after that first post being published by DeepFloyd, a huge Censorship took place in this forum. Any post even containing the words "moderator" and "cheat" got hidden or removed.
A lot of players, one of them me, did not like this and started to re-post the original post multiple times, asking the moderators to comment on it. Bans started being issued, threads locked, posts hidden and some even removed.
I must admit. I got pissed at EA / DICE, and I still am. Their lack of communication towards the community is just horrible and now this? One of their own cheating on their own game, breaking their own rules?
But for those who also got temporarily banned, and those who actually tried their luck and got away with it, rest assured they "heard" us...
The player / ex moderator in question had his stats wiped, and his moderators status revoked. It's not nearly enough if you ask me, but it's a start. If I was the one calling the shots he would be HW banned and fired as soon as possible.
-----------
For those who don't know what happened, I can not explain. I suggest you search at the official EA forums and getsatisfaction.com/battlefield3/ and you will most likely find who you are looking for.
