A few days ago, Back to Karkand was to be released on the 7th of this month according to an official Playstation website. However EA has confirmed that the actual date for this highly anticipated DLC is this coming Tuesday, the 6th. The Back to Karkand pack will be open to PS3 players with Battlefield 3 on Tuesday. The pack will then be available one week later to PC and Xbox 360 players on the 13th.

Battlefield 3 has been quick to break records for EA and the sales figures reflect that. EA's CFO revealed that Battlefield 3 reached 8 million units sold since release and has shipped 12 million units since release. The holidays are just around this corner, it'll be interesting to see just how much high the sales count climbs for Battlefield 3.

It seems like they should have (if any) given the DLC earlier to PC because 1 it was originally PC maps and 2 the PC community seems to be a little angry with DICE regarding Battlefield 3.

Can't wait. Hopefully it comes with a patch to fix some of the crashes. I'm getting a system lock up every 4 or so games, with a hard reset my only way of escaping.

I agree. These maps are specifically for the people who played BF2 on PC. It's a bit strange to make them wait while PS3 players get to have it a whole week early. In the end though, I'm okay with the release date. My finals are on the 14th, so I will be done with school right as the expansion pack comes out

Supposedly the 1 week early on PS3 was because of the fiasco with 1943 they were supposed to get. Except then there was a class action lawsuit so now those greedy ps3 fuckers get 1943 for free AND B2K early. Like WTF throw us PC players SOMETHING EA.

I know that, but the battlefield series began on PC, and this game is supposed to be a sequel, so all I mean is it's a bit strange to not at least release the expansion pack on PC the same day as PS3. In the end, I don't really care that much, but I'm just saying...

I like how everyone is always greedy towards getting content. "how come pc is left out","how come ps3 or 360 is left dry."
We should all just be happy we get all this for free period,and stop having console war fights.

Oh and by the way, There are some of us "console gamers" who played BF2 on the PC but now own consoles. I for one own the 360, and am very dissapointed
