It is odd though that we've only seen two expansion packs since October.
In October during an investment call, EA's Frank D Gibeau said that the first six months of Battlefield 3's life would be jam-packed with DLC. So far, two DLC packs have been released of the expected 21 total. This has been leading to a lot of speculation from the community, the hottest rumor right now involves America. This Battlefield 3 DLC would be focused towards NYC, Miami, and San Francisco. (BF2 veterans might remember the entertaining Armored Fury expansion pack.) Unfortunately there's no truth to these rumors according to DICE developer Alan Kertz:

Dice made some promises wich they did not keep, i'm really disappointed. The game is ruined ( as stewie would say ) because they focused on the shitty console.... Battlefield was a pc game...
