The biggest issue bothering PS3 players of Battlefield 3 has been the lack of VoIP for in-game matches. DICE has been fairly quiet about the issue until now and announced a fix will be coming soon.

We have a fix coming up for the VOIP issue that some Battlefield 3 players have experienced on PS3. Expect your patch soon.

The release date for this patch has not been announced, but it is expected to be released in February.

I somewhat agree realplay, voip should have been in the alpha, and every release after that.

EA/Dice keep bragging of their teamplay game, the squad voip is needed for teamplay.
I'd say 90% of the bf3 gamers are lonewolfs, and they play in squads because you should, and you get spawns on your beacons and occasional 10 extra points here and there.

VOIP is crucial for teamplay.

Of course we're guna be crying. Sure the PC people didn't get VOIP at all but atleast you have plenty of available programs to chat with as well as the ability to type into chat. While us PS3 players got TROLLED. Sure we have the actual feature, but the fact that it was completely broken rendered it useless and insanely frustrating ON TOP of the regular frustration of people already not playing as a team. Not saying either side has it worse, we've all been had.

360 VoIP isn't that much better. Luckily however we have party chat which is easy enough to start up and can have up to (I believe) 10 ppl in it mostly lag free. We on 360 never use VoIP because party chat is far superior, and now bf3 can show us who is in our party when starting up a squad, much better.

I hate how people say that VOIP for PC doesn't matter because we have access to 3rd party applications. Squad based VOIP is the basis of teamplay and allows anyone in a squad, whether they're a friend next door or someone you never met to be involved in teamplay.

No VoIP at all is pretty harsh I will admit, but they did say it will be implemented... Eventually...

EA brags about alot of things, and like a teamplay based game, its almost 100% crap. EA compares themselves to COD, which is about the lowest standard you can have in a MP game.

Thank god for this one. Hopefully I'll get some good squad play now and I'll finally get to put my px21's to good use

PS3 sucks, I don't get why they can't catch up and get party chat!
Also what a douche asking for free dlc! They already get 1943 AND B2K for preorder, whiny little bitch
