Back to Karkand is out for those who are on the Playstation 3, the rest of us will have to stay happy with Battlefield 3 until then. A big part of Back to Karkand's pull is not only the added maps, but the features as well. Assignments look like something that truly adds another, much needed aspect to Battlefield 3. The beginning assignments are easy to get and the second level require a little bit more game time, which is the point of the assignments. We expect that people will enjoy assignments. There's already been a few requests for assignments to be included in the original version of Battlefield 3.

Thats right, give all the idiots a reason to use the grenade launcher. Dice has either lost there was or are really trying to give the cod retards a reason to come back, stfo of my game!

The m320/underslung was a very popular weapon in BF2 before it was nerfed though.

it just seems too easy =/ requires GAME TIME, no extra effort to unlock them... glad to have them none the less. i hope this is a regular occurrence with the hordes of DLC they promised us... now that they have deviated off the whole marine accuracy idea, opens up a whole load of options for a whole load of other weapons, and vehicles, that could be added into the game in the future...

Wish they added a way to check assignments in-game. Pretty sure there's somewhere I haven't looked yet though. Anyone?
Oh, you must've been hoping for a Battlefield 2.5 à la Modern Warfare?

As for the assingments, I find them rather useless. I've already found my weapons of choice, I wouldn't change them just because I can. Now I got used to the weapons, why change and unlock it all, all over again

Because these are new weapons that you might like. Not everyone wants to stick to the same weapons over and over again. Like me for example, I'm looking forward to the FAMAS. <3

The F35B is sweet to control  and you notice the weight of the plane (very diferent from sub flankers). At the begining I tought I was death when I crush the jet hehe. but just like harriers I Took off again.... shame its only on BTK maps

Yeah, for the love of god let them keep adding guns to the game. I want my HK417. A Tac-50 would be sweet too, but I'm not sure how well a .50 would work out as far as balance goes.

I think a .50 cal rifle would be sweet. Balance it with other aspects of the game aside from killing power...things like:

-Fired only when bipod deployed/prone.... other wise you get knocked over like the car exploding thing in singleplayer, with some small damage.
-slower run while carrying it.
-No straight bolt, bipod only and auto equipped..... no supressor.
-Unlock at high lvl, with a big assignment from EACH class (100 revives, 100 resupplies, 50 repairs, 20 marksmen headshots, 20 laser designated damage assists, 200 squad spawns...etc...)
-It needs to be badass and frikkin loud.... maybe a small ammount of suppression for the person firing to slow down follow up shots.
-would be cool to unlock different ammo types for it, much like the shotty. Explosive rounds for anti-personal splash damage, hollow point for more bullet drop, but no chance of a revive/less vehicile damage.
-big muzzle flash

Any ideas/thoughts?

Why from each class if only the Recon would use it?
For the big assignment matter, my idea was to be something like 5 surveilance medals, 2 acuracy medal,4 sniper rifle medals, all sniper weapons mastery. This would turn it hard enough to get.
I do agree with 'no other attachments to the weapon besides bipod + high-powered scope (20x maybe?), and how should it be used on prone position only, btw.
