Back to Karkand is set to be released next month, the Asian division of Sony's Playstation website posts the release date on December 7th for PS3 players. PS3 users were granted one week of early access to all of Battlefield 3's DLC, so PC and Xbox 360 players will have access to the Back to Karkand pack starting on the 14th.
DICE/EA has yet to comment on the matter, but seeing as it's an official Playstation website, the information on here should be very accurate.
Gamespot UK got hands on with the Back to Karkand expansion pack which features new footage and commentary for all four of the maps. You can check out their opinions on this new Battlefield 3 DLC below.

Although it does suck I'm not going to be able to play it till the 16th because I'll be in Austin...gosh I wish I had a powerful laptop.

what? ps3 shouldn't get it early, because they didn't get 1943?
they did get 1943. but that's not the real reason they get it early, they're picking sides on consoles, just like CoD picked xbox...
were there always just 3 flags on wake? there were 5 on 1943... and that was a game seriously up there competing with bf3....

Um, it was pretty much ONLY shown on pc up until a certain point where we got to see some PS3 footage from that talk-show host thingy way back...cant remember.

Before you start a shitstorm, if you look at the comments on that youtube page you'll see the uploader said it's the 32 player map version, not the 64 player version.
So, most likely the 64 player version will have more than 3.
