Battlefield 3 is known to be coming with a lot of DLC and the next six months will be full of DLC according to EA. The first being the Back to Karkand expansion pack due out this December. Now BeefJack, a gaming site claims that a reputable source has told them that future Battlefield 3 DLC will include New York City.

Quote

EA and DICE are gearing up to announce details of the next Battlefield 3 DLC pack to follow Back to Karkand, BeefJack has been told by industry sources – and it will be taking the fight to the heart of one of the biggest cities in the United States.

Please take this with a grain of salt, but it would be interesting to see a NYC based DLC pack considering no stock Battlefield 3 maps have included the city or surrounding area.

I can just imagine fighting in the middle of Time Square. If they really did make a map like that, it would probably be one of the most epic multiplayer maps ever made for any game.

Agreed NOT enough LittleBirds I can understand jets they cause massive lag if too many is my assumption considering at rare times poeple in jets freeze in the sky for a second. I also belaive it's why you cant have two poeple in the jets' unless an expansion pack comes out down the line after months of optimization.

Sorry for spelling it's late.

Yes, i like to see when Russians invades to US. Not just in times square, map in Statue of liberty island would be epic, or map in Golden gate bridge would be really epic too!

Would make sense. They already have the textures for the buildings as noticed in the campaign. Wouldn’t want those to go to waste.
Although, I bet the map will suck, unfortunately. It will be like Grand Bazaar, just, in New York.
They have more potential to base a map in California.

I don't anticipate the NYC map to be absolutely amazing, or even really fun. Like this quote, I think it will just be a Grand Bazaar,or a bigger Siene Crossing map, just, well, in NYC.

[/quote]This. ^^^

There are lots of interesting places all over the world that they can choose from. A map in New York doesn't sound all that different from the urban maps that we already have.

If their gonna do a more CQC map then do it like that co-op level in a really fancy hotel/apartment district with lots of glass and other stuff to blow away. I know battlefield has always been more about the large scale conflicts but if you're going to go small then do it right. I mean who doesn't want destroy a fancy office with a M60?
