If you pre-ordered Battlefield 3 on Origin and pre-loaded the game, you may have received an email from EA stating that the game is to be released on October 24, 2011... that's today. A lot of people have tried to access the game (many on this forum) who pre-ordered through Origin with no success. However, the official Battlefield twitter sent a tweet earlier today stating that the Battlelog servers will be down from 9 - 9:30PM PST (less than an hour away). Maybe this is to unlock the game to those Origin pre-loaders, but do not get your hopes up as this is speculation. The email from EA concerning Battlefield 3:

Its 7:30 pm in CST, 9 pm PST would be 11 pm CST. How is it only an hour away? I hope you're right about the unlocking for pre-ordering customers.

Ah well, I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon anyways. Well, good night everyone and enjoy blowing up buildings while I'm learning things.

Yeh got this email a few hours ago, been trying to log and play but still says 2am central time zone US for me to play. My son in Germany is playing using the Korean IP unlock method and says its working but laggy right now. I'll go to bed early tonight and be up at 2 to play took off work tomorrow to do so lol.

Yea this sucks that we have to wait till 3am to play, when there have been people playing all day. They should of released it for everyone at the SAME TIME. Gess I will get some sleep for a few hrs.

I have confirmed that this email was fake. I am on customer support with EA atm. They say this was accidentally sent and it is not true. They gave a 40% coupon for the trouble of me thinking it was releasing today though.
So i guess we gotta wait until 12:01AM then.

If that server is in the US I'll be in it for sure tonight. (If there are any slots open that is)

EDIT: My release date has alson gone from Oct. 25 @ 0:00 to Oct 24 @ 21:00. Sweet!

Trying to launch the game brought up the release date check tool, which has told me: Your release date will be: Monday, October 24, 2011, 21:00. About 15 minutes ago it had said oct 25 00:00

How is the story line to BF3. Always loved single player in games, so i got high hopes.
